Red Panda Experience
An amazing red panda experience that allowed us to get up close with a super-cute red panda by the name of Betty at Manor Wildlife Park in near Temby in South Wales. An incredible encounter that we will never forget.

Porcupine Experience
Well, this is definitely one you don’t get to do every day! As part of our trip to Florida in September 2024, we stopped off at Wild Florida to do an amazing porcupine experience. Her name was Stella and she was so sweet.
Gauntlet Birds of Prey
This was an absolute hidden gem! We had no idea that we would love Gauntlet Birds of Prey as much as we did. A super day out, very informative, and an absolute must if you are interested in exotic birds. A real treat.
Edinburgh Zoo
We toddled off to Edinburgh to visit the fantastic Zoo there. During our trip, were privileged to catch a glimpse of the pandas before they headed back home to China. Potentially a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
Chester Zoo
We’ve been going to Chester Zoo for many years and without question, it is one of our favourite zoos. It’s extensive and the range of animals is absolutely vast. We would definitely recommend a visit.

We had such a blast with Stella the porcupine in Florida, we decided to write an article compiling a list of all of the places in the UK that offer a porcupine experience. Take a look, you won’t regret it!
West Midlands Safari Park

Dudley Zoo
A zoo that’s practically on our doorstep – Dudley. We always have the best time at this fabulous wildlife park. We’re still in the process of writing about this one, so do bear with us and check back soon.
Animal Experience Ideas
There are so many really cool animal experiences, wildlife parks, and zoos out there that we simply can’t fit them all in!
However, here are few ideas that definitely caught our eye.

Keeper for the Day
A Keeper for the Day animal experiences always seems like a fun idea but is usually on the pricey side. Getting up close to some of the zoo animals (elephants) seems like a dream come true to us. Chester Zoo offer 3 different 1 on 1 experiences to choose from.
Polar Bear Experience
This animal experience caught our eye – it’s very rare to see a Polar Bear experience! Yorkshire Wildlife Park have the largest collection of Polar Bears in England and this experience gets your behind the scenes to feed and get up close with them.
Bottle Feeding Lambs
Bottle feeding lambs though?! Quite possibly one of the cutest animal experiences we’ve ever heard of. Ee HAVE to do it as soon as possible, quite frankly. Cotswolds Farm Park offers this experience between May and September – hit the link below.
