As you might be able to tell, we spend a lot of time visiting historical locations around the UK.
There are few items on our to-do list, which we have outlined below.
Let us know if some of these activities catch your eye.
Edinburgh Castle

Perched atop Castle Rock, Edinburgh Castle dominates the city skyline. Rich in history, it offers stunning views, ancient artifacts, and centuries of Scottish heritage within its mighty stone walls. It seems pretty crazy to us that we haven’t had the pleasure of this castle YET.
The Tower of London

It’s pretty mad that we’ve never been to the Tower of London since we started the blog a few years ago. It’s on the list. Absolutely spectacular place and a stalwart of British history. There’s a massive wealth of things to do and see – you can easily spend a several hours here.
Stonehenge

Stonehenge is one of those must-see cultural activities. Ideal for anyone interested in British history or ancient history (or both!). Another one we haven’t visited since running the blog – our last visit pre-dates it. Absolutely unique place and well worth a visit if you have a free weekend.
Hadrian’s Wall

Spanning the northern reaches of England, Hadrian’s Wall is a lasting symbol of Roman engineering skill and military strength. Commissioned by Emperor Hadrian in 122 CE, this impressive barrier was constructed to defend the Roman Empire against the tribes of the north.
Caernarfon Castle

Commissioned by Edward I, Caernarfon Castle rises as a striking fortress steeped in history. Its distinctive polygonal towers and ambitious design reflect its significance. The castle was a central stronghold during the English conquest of Wales. One of the best cultural activities in that part of the world.
