Rome, Italy

Since we started the blog, we haven’t managed to get over to Rome yet. But, having visited there a few years ago, it is without question one of the most impressive places to visit in Europe. The Eternal City has an eternal place in our hearts.

Lisbon, Portugal

Since we fell in love with Porto, Lisbon has been on our list too. Ride the yellow tram 28 through the city’s narrow, winding streets. Explore the historic Alfama district, see São Jorge Castle, check out the Belém Tower, and finish up with some stunning food.

Vienna, Austria

Explore Vienna’s imperial past at Schönbrunn Palace and the Hofburg. Marvel at art in the Belvedere and Kunsthistorisches Museum. Stroll through the historic city centre and enjoy Sachertorte at one of the many cafés.

Venice, Italy

Seems to be on everyone’s bucket list, doesn’t it? A trip to Venice is one of the most unique things to do in Europe. Glide through Venice’s canals on a gondola, explore St. Mark’s Basilica and Doge’s Palace, and wander Piazza San Marco. In a word, magical.

Berlin, Germany

Things to do in Europe visit Berlin city centre

One of Tanith’s favourite cities but somewhere we haven’t covered for the blog – Berlin in Germany is a great choice for a weekend away. From the Brandenburg Gate, and Checkpoint Charlie, to the Reichstag dome – there’s loads to see and do. Don’t forget to try the currywurst 😉

Budapest, Hungary

We only ever hear good things about Budapest, hence why it makes it onto our things to do in Europe list. Admire the Parliament Building, stroll across Chain Bridge, explore Buda Castle and Fisherman’s Bastion. Cruise the Danube at sunset and relax on Margaret Island.
